There is no paid tier to compare against. AURA answers on your iPhone for free, and if you connect a model of your own it will use that for free too — which is also what makes live web results possible.
Your provider bills you separately
This is the part most easily misread, so plainly: AURA is free, and it does not include any AI usage.
If you connect your own Anthropic or Google account, those companies bill you directly, at their own rates, for whatever you use. We take no cut of it, set no prices, and have no visibility into your account or your bill. We charge you nothing, so there is nothing of ours on your bill either.
Will it always be free?
Everything AURA does on your iPhone is free and always will be. We would rather say that plainly than hedge it.
A paid tier may come later, once AURA has enough people using it to be worth charging for. If it does, it will be for something added on top — not for taking away something you already have. We are not going to build an audience on a free app and then put a wall through the middle of it.
AURA has no adverts, no analytics, no data to sell, and no investor to answer to. That is what keeps the privacy promises real, and it does not change with the price.
